We are part of a larger company, IRUM, founded in 1953, specialized in the production of various types of machinery. The company has over 400 employees and 175.000 square meters, it is located in Reghin, Mures county, Romania.
The foundry is at the core of the production process of IRUM machines: all cast iron and bronze parts required for the construction of our skidders, front loaders and funiculars have been produced here for over 60 years. Also, based on our experience, we have the capacity to carry out a large variety of similar operations according to the client’s requirements.
Some of our main products: brake drums, brake discs, wheel hubs, transmission casings, clutch casings, levers, bridles, brake shoes, brake shoe anchors, spiral wheels, bearing caps, flanges, excavator bucket teeth etc.
Based on our expertise and our qualified and experienced staff, the IRUM foundry can produce a variety of cast components from cast iron, steel, low-, medium- or high alloy cast iron, low-, medium- or high alloy steel or nodular pig iron, through manual or mechanized forming, according to the customer’s requirements. (Masses up to 750kg for manual forming and 100kg for mechanized forming.)

- preparation of forming batch: automated EIRICH mixer
- mechanized forming: HVS-S forming machine
- alloy smelting: 750kg INDUCTOTERM smelting furnace
- cores: manually or through core shooting method with LAEMPE LL20 core shooter (unique in Romania)
